Hyacinth Flower Bulbs

Hyacinth Flower Bulbs

Hyacinth Flower Bulbs are a fantastic way to bring a great display of bold colours into the garden. These vibrant highly scented flowers are tightly clustered star shaped heads on thick and sturdy stems. For a healthy show of these spring classics, make sure they are planted in well drained fertile soil. Before planting the bulbs, add an organic matter or well rotted manure. A sunny or part shade position is best. They make a great addition to any garden and container arrangement.

Hyacinth flower bulbs can also be forced, which means they are a great indoor plants too. For a winter display, they require planting in late autumn. Leave in a dark cool place for up to 10 weeks. Once they have finished flowering, remove the stalks but keep the foliage. They like to keep the foliage as this is how they gather and store their energy. This will produce a show stopping display the following year.
