Description
We have created our Horse Gut Health Paddock Mixture to give a more natural alternitive to traditional chemical wormers. This mixture contains a range of grassland herbs proven to help reduce worm egg counts in grazing animals. Our Gut Health grass mixture can be sown as a new ley or over sown into existing grassland in need of improvement. Our aim in formulating this blend is to give horse owners a practical way to support their horses through better pasture management. The addition of herbal species such as sainfoin, fenugreek and sheeps parsley helps increase plant diversity and provides a more natural grazing experience. While no seed mix replaces a responsible worming programme, we designed this blend to complement a more holistic approach to horse worming, alongside good pasture rotation and management.
Timothy enhances palatability, ensuring horses graze the sward evenly, while creeping red fescue and hard fescue provide durability and ground cover, helping maintain a dense, hard-wearing paddock. The result is a mixture that not only establishes well but continues to perform under regular equine use.
