Description
Forage rye is a fast growing cover crop option utilised by many farms across the country. Forage rye can be sown in both the spring and autumn and has been proven to be most effective against aggressive arable weeds. Often sown as part of a larger cover crop seed mixture with other species such as vetch. Forage rye as a stand alone crop or as part of a cover crop mixture can be grazed or cut, producing a high value forage crop.
