Gladiator Allium Bulbs are one of the taller Alliums, reaching up to 1.5m! On sturdy thick stems the rich green foliage can die off before the flower has fully emerged. Each stem bearing multiple tiny star shaped flowers creating a big purple ball. This reliable hardy perennial is another award winner amongst our collection. Gladiator Allium bulbs are ideal for planting in the back of borders and along fence lines due to their height. The large flowering head will attract many different insects and pollinators making this a perfect garden plant for nature lovers. Gladiator Allium Bulbs like full sun and well drained fertile soil. Alliums don’t like water logged conditions. Plant the bulbs roughly 20-30cm apart to give them space. If splitting them is required, be sure to do this in Spring or Autumn. These make excellent cut flowers too.
When handling bulbs, wearing gloves is advisable as they can be a skin irritant and harmful if eaten.
