Crocosmia George Davison bulbs are a beautiful warm golden yellow colour. When in bud, the colours are stunning. A rich pink and orange colour, against the green stem and yellow flower makes this a very pretty one to have about the garden. For maximum effect plant in drifts with similar colours. Crocosmia George Davison bulbs do multiply, so if you need to split them, do so in the Spring. They like a position in full sun to part shade in a sheltered spot in well drained soil. Once the foliage has died off, you can cover the crown for the winter for extra protection. They do require a bit of extra care when its frosty.
When handling bulbs, wearing gloves is advisable as they can be a skin irritant and harmful if eaten.
