Plant the bulbs from September through to December. Once the flowers have died off, deadhead. The bulbs will require lifting and storing in a cool dark place ready for the next season. Tulip Negrita bulbs also make excellent cut flowers as they are real head turners.
When handling bulbs, wearing gloves is advisable as they can be a skin irritant and harmful if eaten.
