Tulip Silvestris bulbs are delicate yellow tulips that are native to woodland areas and like to be in lightly shaded conditions under trees, in grassland or in the border. Tiny stems standing up to 15cm tall hold the fragile flower on top. Popular in Europe this hardy little flower will spread in time. The Tulip Silvestris bulb also has a lovely scent. They make a lovely addition to pots and the rockery. Once it has flowered, leave to die off naturally as cutting can prevent flowering the following year.
When handling bulbs, wearing gloves is advisable as they can be a skin irritant and harmful if eaten.
