Daliah’s look great in pots, but as this variety is tall, it would better suit the back of the border and may need staking. Dahlia’s make great cut flowers as well as being popular garden plants. Plant them with similar colours for a show stopping look. Dahlia Arabian Night bulbs are not frost hardy so will require protection. In the right free draining soil, the tubers can be left over winter. Cover with a good mulch for as much protection as possible.
When handling bulbs & tubers, wearing gloves is advisable as they can be a skin irritant and harmful if eaten.
