Dahlia Boy Scout bulbs are a small pompom variety in beautiful deep pink. Reaching just 50cm its a compact plant that will look great in a pot or border. You will have a stunning display from July onwards, right up until late Autumn. Be sure to deadhead regularly as this will promote growth of new buds. Through the growing season and particularly hotter days they will require frequent watering. Dahlia’s make great cut flowers as well as being popular garden plants. Plant them with similar colours for a show stopping look. Dahlia Boy Scout bulbs are not frost hardy so will require protection. In the right sunny position in free draining soil, the tubers can be left over winter. Cover with a good mulch for as much protection as possible.
When handling bulbs & tubers, wearing gloves is advisable as they can be a skin irritant and harmful if eaten.
